Program Overview

Class Schedule

  • Office Hours

    • Class work is self paced. Office hours are available on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00 p.m. or by request through your program administrator. Weekly office hours are not mandatory, but highly encouraged.

  • Class Duration

    • One year, from September to May. The program is designed to give students looking to enter the Catholic Church or learn more about the Catholic faith a comprehensive introduction to Catholic theology.

  • Retreats

    • There are several required in-person retreats. Retreats are hosted at various religious communities around the Archdiocese. We have found these events to be some of the most fun and fruitful activities of the whole program.

Class Content

  • Class Work

    • Class work is self-paced and available from your chapter’s Google Classroom. This program is designed for working professionals who need flexibility in schedule, but don’t want to compromise their Christian formation.

  • Reflections

    • Reflections are required for each assignment. The guiding questions are for aid—students are not required to answer every single one.

FAQs

Do I physically need to live near the Cathedral to be able to attend the classes?

No—this program is available for the whole diocese. Class content is all online. Chapters meet virtually once each week to review any questions or concerns. This is usually a great opportunity for students to dive deeper into the theology of the Church that the videos might not get into. The virtual meetings are NOT mandatory.

Are the meetings mandatory? I have a family, job, and busy schedule

The weekly virtual meetings are NOT mandatory. These meetings are treated as “office hours”; students are encouraged to attend, so that any questions they have may be answered. The only requirements are that students watch the class content for each week, write their reflections, and attend the monthly retreats.

I am already a Catholic. Can I still join the program?

Yes! The program is open to anyone who is interested in growing in understanding or faith. We just ask that anyone who is Catholic follow the same course requirements as the non-Catholic students entering the faith. After completion of the program, all alumni are eligible to attend the monthly retreats and the annual pilgrimages.

I just want to attend the retreats/pilgrimages. Do I have to complete the class content?

Retreats are currently open to students and alumni.
